Capturing all the cherished memories of Christmas, Bradley J. Parrish
shares his visions of the season through his collection of fine
art pieces. His love for the holidays is demonstrated in each
piece he has created. This love has resulted in a truly special
Christmas Collection. Few artists have evoked such a wide variety
of emotions and the spirit of the season. Mouseking is proud
to be able to bring to you some of his most admired and cherished
Christmas works.
An artist who creates an original work of art may replicate the
original artwork so that the image is available to a greater number
of people at a lower price. The set, unchanging number of copies
is the image's edition size, and each reproduction in the edition
is hand-signed and hand-numbered by the artist, adding value to
the reproductions. When the artist chooses not to sign or limit
the number of reproductions, the edition is considered "open" and
generally has a lower price value.
Offset lithography is the most popular contemporary method of
replicating original artwork in a limited edition. A photograph
is taken of the original work and then reproduced with colorfast
inks on high-quality paper. The artist inspects the prints to ensure
that the color reproduction is true to the original work and then
signs and numbers each print in the edition.
Once a piticular type of edition is printed, such as an edition
printed on paper, or an edition printed on canvas, it is signed
and numbered and neither the artist nor the publisher will reproduce
the image in this method again as a limited-editionreproduction,
thereby guaranteeing that only a set number of collectors will be
fortunate enough to own a reproduction of the image.
